Book Repair Product Descriptions

Fimoplast T is a high-quality rayon fabric for covering and repairing stitched book back lining, laminated books and book covers. This tape is made of long-lasting archival acrylic adhesive. The material is made to fix rough and irregular surfaces quickly and will not bleed or shrink.

The tape is made to suit spine repair hence its high adhesive effect, flexibility and different ranges of colors. This tape is used to strengthen the first and last sheet of a book fold when stitching a book, enhancing the reverse side of maps and building plans, dust-free edges of picture frames, used for finishing of works on foams or corrugated boards, used to wrap deep bevel mats and for finishing edges of unframed paintings. The size is 1.2 x 33 inches and available in eight colors and has a natural color texture.

Filmoplast R is another high-quality rayon fabric used for preserving newspapers and recent paper to retain the original paper character. It is made to have a low thickness which makes it hardly visible. Made to resist aging. Certified by PTS, the tape can join fragmented documents and invisibly repair tears.

Filmoplast SH is a quality, white, acid-free fabric for covering and repairing stitched book back lining and the passe-part out of the rear edge when framing a picture. The product is built to be highly resistant, environmentally friendly and  biodegradable. They are made with elastic acrylic adhesive.

Filmoplast P 90 plus is a wood free ideal tape for strengthening the joint between the book cover and the back lining with a strong adhesive force and strong tear resistance to hold the book together. The tape is hardly visible and has a high flexibility rate. This is the ideal tool for fixing photographs, dust-free rear mounts and prints to passe-part out. They are made with elastic acrylic adhesive.

Filmoplast P 90 is a unique white paper tape for repairing, protecting and embedding papers, attaching torn out pages, strengthening the inner book joints of paperbacks, improving edges and old quires, fixing the originals of passe-partouts, and rear mounts. The white paper tape is made to be stable and robust with a flexible structure. The material's adhesiveness is strengthened with CaCO3, and the texture is slightly alkaline so as not ever to cause damage to the document and possess enough buffer capacity to prevent decay from acid. The material is made with an aging resistance.
